Private Reykjanes Discovery: Lava Tunnel & Blue Lagoon | Day Tour

We'll start the day with a visit to Raufarhólshellir, more commonly known as The Lava Tunnel, one of Iceland's longest lava tubes. The formations and colours inside the 5200-year-old lava cave are breathtaking. We then visit the Mars-like landscape of Krýsuvík with its steam vents and bubbling mud-pots. Afterward, continuing on to the nearby Gunnuhver geyser and Reykjanesviti lighthouse

Now for the true highlight, we come to Blue Lagoon to wind down in the relaxing blue waters after a day of exploring. Included in your premium entry to the Blue Lagoon is their world renowned silica mud mask, two drinks of your choice at the swim up bar and use of a towel and bathrobe.

Important information

Warm clothes and waterproof outer layers are important, especially in winter, but it can get chilly at any time of year in Iceland. If you prefer Hidden Iceland to provide thin waterproof outer layers and boots for you, free of charge, get in touch ahead of the tour with rough sizes.

Attention

This tour is categorised as easy but the tour of the lava tunnel does require you to be able to walk on uneven, rocky terrain for around 300 metres, albeit at a slow pace with lots of stops. Ability to walk for a few hundred metres with good mobility of knees and ankles will enhance your enjoyment of the day.
